Preventing sexual violence against men and boys

While violence against women in conflict regions is being addressed, violence against male victims still receives little attention. However, sexual violence against men and boys is often deliberately used as a weapon of war. A "culture of silence" and the victims' sense of shame mean that such crimes usually go unpunished. The "All Survivors Project", ASP is committed to changing this.

The non-profit foundation was established in Liechtenstein to improve protection against sexual and gender-based violence worldwide. It documents cases of abuse of men and boys in conflict situations in order to supplement this hitherto often neglected perspective. ASP is considered a pioneering project in the research and recording of gender-based violence. The initiative is committed to developing programmes that provide targeted support for male victims. ASP works closely with the international community to raise the profile of these issues and make the victims' voices heard.
