Digital learning materials for TVET

Educational materials are a key element of any training system. Adequate learning materials enable teachers and instructors to better facilitate the learning process, and learners have access to carefully tailored information conducive for learning.

Good learning materials are often scarce in the Cambodian TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) system. But what are the quality criteria for good learning materials? What competences and resources are necessary to produce them? To learn about these and other important aspects of digital learning material production the project will develop sets of digital learning materials for two occupations. The General Directorate for TVET will be closely involved in the process to enable learning about educational material development. This process is also used to build media-pedagogical competences in Cambodia. Teachers and instructors will then be supported to meaningfully use the materials in their daily instruction. At the same time, the project supports the setup and functioning of aministerial working group on digitalization in TVET. All digital learning materials will be freely accessible.

Project goals

Competences for the development of digital learning materials are strengthened.

Sets of digital learning materials for two occupations serve as example for quality learning materials.

A ministerial working group on digitalization in TVET is coordinating the various initiatives regarding digitalization in TVET.
