Developing skills for digital professions
Getting young people excited about digital skills is the aim of the Digital Visualisation Technology Skills Accelerator Program (DViTSA). The innovative initiative aims to prepare young people for digital careers, such as the growing game development industry. DViTSA offers a practical learning programme in selected schools in Cambodia. To this end, a curriculum on digital visualisation technology as used in computer games has been developed specifically for secondary schools.
The programme is under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS), which also contributes to the co-financing. DViTSA is being implemented as part of the "New Generation School", NGS, the school reform programme that was launched to improve the quality of education in Cambodia.
Project goals
Creating an educational framework in the public school system that enables Cambodian young people to participate in and benefit from developments in the IT sector, particularly in the digital visualisation sub-sector.
Special features of the project
This programme is partly a result of Cambodia's participation in the World Economic Forum's Global Accelerator Network and responds to the Ministry of Education's call to accelerate the development of skills for attractive and modern professional fields.
