Liechtenstein's IHCD actors
The Office for Foreign Affairs (Amt für auswärtige Angelgenheiten, AAA) and the Liechtenstein Development Service (Liechtensteinischer Entwicklungsdienst, LED) are jointly responsible for implementing IHCD.
The AAA is responsible for the overall coordination. Its other tasks include selecting project partners and coordinating projects in the areas of emergency and reconstruction assistance, international refugee and migration assistance, as well as multilateral development cooperation.
The Liechtenstein Development Service carries out official bilateral development cooperation on behalf of our country. This refers to the cooperation between Liechtenstein and a respective project partner or developing country. The LED coordinates and monitors the corresponding projects in this context.
The Office for Foreign Affairs (Amt für auswärtige Angelegenheiten, AAA) safeguards the interests of Liechtenstein abroad in cooperation with the diplomatic representations. It helps to shape and coordinate foreign policy, maintains relations with other states, participates in the negotiation of agreements, and represents the concerns of Liechtenstein in international organisations.
The Liechtenstein Development Service (Liechtensteinischer Entwicklungsdienst, LED), a private foundation of the country of Liechtenstein, implements the country's bilateral development cooperation. Key topics are "sustainable food systems with a focus on agroecology" and "vocational training and employability".
