Goals and tasks
Since 2007, the tasks of international humanitarian cooperation and development have been regulated by the IHCD Act. This law formulates how and in what context Liechtenstein is committed to international humanitarian and development cooperation.
The goal of IHCD is to show solidarity with people who are disadvantaged in terms of their living conditions and quality of life. The IHCD tasks consist of helping to sustainably improve these living conditions and to protect and strengthen the people and their interests.
The core tasks of IHZE are

Fight against hunger and poverty
Improvement of the social, economic, cultural and political development of disadvantaged and marginalised regions of the world
Standing up for peace, freedom and security for all people, and for the preservation of their human dignity
Protecting the environment and fostering the responsible and sustainable use of natural resources
