A project by Office for Foreign Affairs

Transports of the Liechtenstein relief organisation

For over 35 years, Hilfswerk Liechtenstein has been committed to helping disadvantaged people at home and in many countries around the world. For its extensive deliveries of relief supplies, the Principality of Liechtenstein has been covering the transport costs for emergency and reconstruction aid for many years.

In 2022 alone, the Liechtenstein relief organisation provided valuable support with 14 shipments to eight countries, including three shipments to Ukraine, which was affected by the Russian war of aggression. In addition to the transport costs, the country also contributed half of the rental costs for the new location in Triesen in 2023. With Liechtenstein's contribution, ten transport runs were organised in 2023 to deliver mainly clothing and school furniture to people in need in Eastern Europe and Chile.
