A project by Liechtenstein Development Service (LED)

Skills for a "green" change in Moldova

The project increases the availability of skilled labor in the renewable energy sector and thereby supports the green transition in the Republic of Moldova.

The project develops three vocational qualifications in the renewable energy sector (construction electrician, solar photovoltaic system technician, heat pump system installer). The project further supports training institutions to improve the technical capacities of teaching staff and to systematically introduce environmental topics and environmentally sustainable practices at vocational schools.

Young people, especially women and girls, are encouraged to choose a career in renewable energy. In addition, policy makers, social partners, civil society and experts are sensitized for a just green transition.

Project goals

The four intervention areas of the project are:

Development of new occupational and qualification standards and curricula.

Institutional support and capacity building.

Skills development (initial and continuing vocational education and training).
