The number of conflicts and crises in the world is large and there are many humanitarian aid programmes that urgently need money to alleviate the suffering on the ground. The International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC, has therefore been Liechtenstein's most important partner organisation for many years in order to provide effective humanitarian emergency aid and reconstruction assistance.

Liechtenstein supports the ICRC at its headquarters in Geneva with an annually increasing amount. Those financial resources can be used and distributed in such a way that they also reach the crisis regions where the need is greatest.
