A project by Office for Foreign Affairs

Defeating AIDS by 2030

Eradicating AIDS by 2030 is one of the clear goals of the UN agenda. Achieving this goal is the task of UNAIDS, the joint United Nations programme that emerged from the World Health Organization's Global Programme on HIV/AIDS in 1996. With offices in 70 countries, UNAIDS provides the strategic planning, coordination and technical support that public institutions and local communities need to deliver life-saving HIV services on the ground. Together with Germany, France and Monaco, Liechtenstein is part of a UNAIDS "Constituency Group" and is making an important contribution to the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
